THE STORY OF WA LANCAR

Wa Lancar is a poor young man. However, he always wanted to study hard. He didn't have enough money to go to the teacher. Fortunately, he met a kind teacher. The teacher is willing to teach Wa Lancar. In return, he asked Wa Lancar to help him in the fields. Wa Lancar agreed. His teacher taught him everything.

After several years, the teacher considered Wa Lancar as his student enough. Before Wa Lancar left, his teacher gave him some advice.

"If you're hungry, don't eat it right away, wait a minute."

Wa Lancar then left. He still wants to study. He met the second teacher. Like the first teacher, Wa Lancar also doesn't need to pay. He was only asked to help his teacher in the fields. Wa Lancar studied for several years and his teacher considered it finished. He also gave advice to Wa Lancar.

"When you are tired of walking, stop for a moment and rest first." However, Wa Lancar was still not satisfied.

He met the third teacher. Once again, Wa Lancar does not need to pay a certain amount of money. He was also asked to help his teacher in the fields. Then, it was time for her to stop learning from him. Again, the third guru gave him advice.

"Take a stone and a knife and sharpen the knife." Wa Lancar is very grateful.

Wa Lancar wants to help all poor children. He then taught them. In the beginning, he only had a few disciples, after that, he had even more disciples. And that makes other teachers jealous.

Then the jealous teacher went to the palace and told the king that Wa Lancar taught bad lessons to the children. The king was furious. He punished Wa Lancar. The punishment was that Wa Lancar had to marry his daughter. Wa Lancar was scared. That's because any man who marries the king's daughter will mysteriously die.

At the wedding reception, guests were treated to delicious food. The jealous teacher gave Wa Lancar some food. Wa Lancar remembered his first teacher's advice, don't eat when you're hungry. Wa Lancar refused the food. However, the man next to him ate the food. Not long after that, the man had excruciating stomach pain. Then the man died. Apparently, the food contains poison.

The next morning, the jealous teacher told Wa Lancar that the king asked Wa Lancar to bring a black stone king from the hill. Wa Lancar went with several soldiers. After several hours of walking, Wa Lancar looked exhausted. He remembered his second teacher's advice, to stop and rest if he was tired of walking. Wa Lancar ordered the soldiers to walk first. Wa Lancar lucky. The soldiers were trapped in a big hole. Wa Lancar then took the black stone from the hill and brought it to the palace.

Arriving at the palace, Wa Lancar wanted to sleep immediately. Suddenly, he remembered his third teacher's advice, to sharpen knives with stones. Wa Lancar took a knife and sharpened it with the black stone. After he finished, only then did he go to sleep. He saw that there was a centipede in his bed. Then he killed the centipede with his knife. Then his wife woke up. He heard all the commotion. He was shocked to see that there was a dead centipede on his bed.

Wa Lancar told everything to his wife. He was sure that all the bad things happened because of the jealous teacher. His wife immediately told her father, the king, all the bad things that had happened. The king then asked the jealous teacher if this was true. The jealous teacher could do nothing more. He told everything and admitted his mistake. The king then punished the jealous teacher.
