GLUTINUOUS RICE
Olih and his mother live in a village in North Sumatra. They are poor. Their neighbors love them, because they are kind and always help others.
In the evening, seven old women came to Olih's house. The women looked dirty, and they wore tattered clothes. They are also very hungry.
"Good evening. We are hungry. Can you give us some food?" asked one of the old women.
"Don't worry, Mom. We have food for you. Just a moment."
Olih then went to his house. He opened the cupboard and took out some food. A moment later, he passed the food to the old woman.
"Thank you very much son. You are very kind. We are also very tired. Would you let us stay here for the night? No one wants to let us stay in their house. We are strangers here, we have nowhere to go. "
"Don't worry. You can all live here," said Olih's mother.
"Thank you very much. You two have been very kind to us."
In the morning, the seven old women were still sleeping. Olih's mother asked Olih to wake her up for breakfast. Suddenly Olih screamed!
"Mom! Come here!!!"
Ibu Olih then ran into the bedroom. He found a room full of rice. The old women have left. But there is one beautiful girl sitting on the bed.
"Do not be afraid. I am one of those women. My father sent me here. He has great natural super strength. He turned me into an old woman and asked me to deliver this special rice to the family who helped me," said the girl.
Olih and his mother were very happy. Now they have enough rice to eat. They also distribute rice to neighbors. The rice is so good. They call it "Pulut Rice" or Glutinous Rice, meaning savory and delicious rice.
